Cookbook 101 Healthy Vegan Asian Food Quick Easy vegan recipes Book 5 edition by Jonathan Vine Daniel Nadav Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks
I am very happy to have found this recipe collection! I am a new vegetarian looking to incorporate more vegan meal options for my family. We LOVE all Asian food so seeing 101 vegan recipes is exciting because I don't have to read through to make sure animal products are not listed in the ingredients. This ebook navigates smoothly between the table of contents and individual recipes, making it very convenient to use on my phone while cooking in the kitchen. In the beginning of the book, common Asian ingredients are introduced with their flavors and health benefits described. My kitchen is typically stocked with them; tofu, tempeh, rice noodles, chili sauce, coconut milk, ginger, turmeric, etc. There are four chapters of recipes split into the following categories; Appetizers, Soups, Main Dishes, and Desserts. Every recipe looks delicious! My mouth is drooling reading through the ingredients. Some appetizers include scallion pancakes, raw cabbage rolls, lettuce wraps, spring rolls, and chili dip. Soups include coconut curry soup, cold green tea noodle soup, Thai peanut soup, and more. For main courses, there is orange tofu, sesame seed and peanut noodles, sweet and sour bean sprout noodles, and potato samosas. And to top off your meal, you can find sweet recipes like fried pumpkin balls, coconut or matcha ice cream, banana fritters, and my absolute favorite CHAI TEA! Each recipe includes the prep time, cook time, servings, ingredients, and clear, easy directions.
I am positive that this book will help the rest of my family, especially my meat-loving husband, enjoy more vegan options. I love all the sweet, savory, and spicy flavors that Asian food brings to the table, without adding unnecessary animal products.
GREAT RECIPE COLLECTION. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to spice up cooking skills.

Cookbook 101 Healthy Vegan Asian Food Quick Easy vegan recipes Book 5 edition by Jonathan Vine Daniel Nadav Cookbooks Food Wine eBooks Reviews
**I received this book in return for an honest review. All opinions are my own.**
I can't tell you how delighted I am when I found this cookbook. My family is vegetarian and it is often so easy to get into the quick fix vegetarian frozen foods. Which aren't bad mind you, however we wanted to take more of a fresh approach and also incorporate more vegan meals into our diet. We love Asian food and I was finding it hard to find vegan recipes. I did find some here and there but this book has a WIDE variety of recipes from various Asian cultures such as the Korean, Thai, Japanese, etc. It also cuts down the research time for you to look through every single ingredient to make sure that there isn't an hidden animal product listed and it also gives you a listing of common Asian ingredients.
The book is divided up into four chapters which are broken down into essentially an entire four course meal Appetizers, Soups, Main Dishes and even Desserts! Each recipe includes the total preparation time and cooking time as well as ingredients and servings. I found that the directions were extremely well written both clear and easy to follow. Some of my family's favorite dishes were the Spicy Tofu and Cilantro Wontons, Asian Cucumber Salad, Kale and Miso Soup, Kimchi Soup, Vietnamese Noodle Soup, Orange Tofu, Peanut Noodles, Mango Sticky Rice, Tofu Gyoza, and Almond Bars! This is an excellent collection of Asian recipes and would satisfy both Vegan and Omnivore!
My younger daughter is a vegetarian, and I am always looking for food for her, as well as the rest of the family to eat. Let me just put this out there, I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but I am not opposed to eating such dishes. My aunt is a vegan, and I have enjoyed several dishes that she makes when go visit her. My daughter also has a gluten intolerance, so I have to make some substitutions to the recipe I made for this review, but the overall taste was fantastic and my daughter is ever so thankful for a new source of recipes to pull from.
I spent a couple hours looking through all the recipes and bookmarking all the ones that I thought that my daughter would want to try. I was pretty sure the Tofu and Broccoli Stir Fry would be at the top of her list to try, and thought she might want to try the Orange Tofu as well. Looking through the recipes, I was a little sad that not all of them had pictures. I am a very visual person and like to see pictures. I feel like the cookbook assumes the reader has some cooking experience with some of the directions. Some of the tofu recipes did not specify how firm of tofu to use, and most of the recipes to not give too specific directions as to what temperature to cook with. If you have some experience cooking, this is not an issue, but to an inexperienced cook, this could be problematic. I fall into the category that a recipe is just a general guideline, and I'm always tweaking things to my family's needs and taste.
My daughter and I hit the store to pick up some ingredients to make a version of the Tofu Broccoli Stir Fry. We followed the recipe, making necessary ingredient substitutions as necessary to accommodate her wheat intolerance (soy sauce of all things has wheat protein in it). The end result was fantastic. The directions are pretty easy to follow, and it did not take that long to make her dinner. My daughter loved the dish and is excited about expanding her cooking knowledge. We have several other recipes bookmarked to try out.
I received this product in exchange for a review, however, all opinions are my own.
